Jubilee celebrations en France!

Today, at La Lohuas, a jubilee tea - I made Victoria Sponges and cup cakes, the Union Jacks and Cucumber and Egg sandwiches, completed our contribution à l'étranger - all washed down with a little Champagne!

We have been busy making a new lane to drive out of the gites and turn left onto the road towards Evran

Fish pond gets a new coat of paint.

My lovely Mum has been here for a week making floor cushions and bunting for the new tent that will be for "chilling out" for the older children - not sure they will appreciate the flower-power patterns, but I love them!

Had a bit of a clear up outside and a little bonfire!

So you thought a faggot was a meaty delicacy - No! In France its a bundle of kindling wood ready to start the fire next year - I pruned all the willows at the front of the barn
